bullet By June of 2009 the Gov't will be shutting down all local "analog" channels. All local channels will be broadcasting in HD (Which most are now) By purchasing a Converter Box you will be able to receive the HD signals from your analog TV. bullet Yes, some converter boxes have what you call "analog pass-through." Which allows you to still receive analog broadcasts for the time being. By 2009 this feature will no longer be needed. RadioShack also carries the highest rated converter boxes by customers.
